    2013-2014 TRAVEL TRYOUTS


    Avon Soccer Club Travel Program will host travel tryouts for the 2013-2014 season on Wednesday, May 29th at Fisher Meadows Athletic Complex (Rain date Thursday, June 6th). To avoid delays on that day we encourage everyone to pre-register on line at www.avonsoccerclub.org

    The Avon Soccer Club (ASC) fields travel teams to participate in League Play organized by the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA). Multiple travel teams per age group will be offered for the 2013-2014 travel team season depending on the number and quality of players trying out. This decision will be made as soon as the numbers and ratings are received. ****Results will be e-mailed to parents at the conclusion of the current season. Notification of mailing will be posted on the club website****
    Avon Soccer Club 2013-2014 travel fee is $500 and includes the following:
    1) home and away jersey, shorts and socks
    2) pre-season training camp in August at Fisher Meadows with professional trainers
    3) referee fees for home games
    4) one tournament per season in addition to the Avon Memorial Day Tournament (3 in total)
    5) patches for one tournament per season
    6) weekly goal keeping training
    7) weekly training with professionals

    The Head Coaches for new teams are selected/approved by the ASC Board of Directors after tryout results have been determined. Interested candidates should submit their resumé to Rocco Erardi at P.O. Box 7, Canton, CT 06019.

    The tryouts are open to Avon residents and are based on the following CJSA age groupings:

    Boys and Girls U11 8/1/2002 to 7/31/2003 - 4:30pm
    Boys and Girls U10 8/1/2003 to 7/31/2004 - 5:00pm
    Girls U13 8/1/2000 to 7/31/2001 - 5:30pm
    Girls U12 8/1/2001 to 7/31/2002 - 5:30pm
    Boys U12 8/1/2001 to 7/31/2002 - 6:00pm
    Boys and Girls U9 8/1/2004 to 7/31/2005 - 6:00pm

    Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your assigned time. Bring water bottle and soccer ball. In the event of rain, please call the town cancellation line at 409-4365.
