Maggie Dixon Classic at MSG
St. John’s vs UCONN Huskies
The Maggie Dixon Classic is held annually in memory of the former Army Black Knights Women’s Basketball Coach. Over the course of her six months as head coach at The United States Military Academy, she led the program to unprecedented heights having played in their first Patriot League Championship and made their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
The ninth-annual event, hosted by MSG Sports and the Dixon family, will feature St. John’s Vs Connecticut tipping off at 1pm in a meeting of former BIG EAST Conference foes and Perennial NCAA Tournament Teams.
With the announcement of this year’s participants, 15-different women’s squads have been invited to play in the Classic. St. John’s, Connecticut and Rutgers have each participated in the Classic four times—the most of any of the 15-schools.
